My best friend

Hi my name is James and this what I did for my poem.
My best friend was Siotame.

He has black hair and he sings with his brother
He has flash shoes and his eyes is black and brown
He is so fast he made it to the athletics

His Dad works at the pie shops
His family goes to church on Sundays
His brother is a DJ
His Aunty has a garden full of flowers

He came from Tonga
He had a piano, a guitar and a drum
His uncle sometimes goes and cut other people’s lawn

He likes to play with dogs
After school he cuts the lawn
Then he gets to play with his friends
Sometimes he helps his dad burn the wood
Sometimes he helps his mum cook food

Persuasive writing


The topic is children should work from the age of eight.

If children work from the age of eight they would have to learn fast so they are able to do the work.

I also think that at the age of eight children should get a good job because they can earn some money for themselves.

Children should work from age eight because when their family have a funeral, they can help them pay for the funeral.

I have written why children should work from the age of eight and I hope it will happen in New Zealand.

Netball

“Today is Friday and it’s netball yeah!” shouted Mangila as he smiled at me. We both really like playing netball. Gina put us into groups of 3. Mangila, Siotame,Nunia and Kyana were in my group.Our team was New South Wales we played against Queensland. We lost and they won. Next,  we played against the Underdogs Bono moved as fast as a bullet and they won. Then it was morning tea time and we were all tired and pumping.



Reading book

Hi my name is James F and I read this book.It is a great book and it all about visiting there Mum and Dad.When they landed there Mum and Dad was waiting outside for them to arrived at Samoa.They lived next to the sea where all the fishes and ells are he new every fish in the sea because he use to live next to the sea.then when they went to the market he saw fresh mussel he said that it looks like he was in Auckland.Next they to the beach to have some fun.

In Auckland the government is selling the land which housed Housing New Zealand houses. People in Glen Innes were very much opposed to this. Tennants were being forced to move out of their houses.
they were forced to get out of the house.The protesters were as loud as
a crowd at a all blacks game.” save our homes they yelled”.”I think that the Police should stop them of taking the house down”.A TV News crew Channel arrived on the scene and set up for live coverage of the protest to be broadcasted on TV.

Room 7 netball

In the hall was the Duffy show it was only 3 presenters that were in there. One of them was pulling and the others was samoa one was a girl and the other one was boys.They showed us good action in there and good actors .Then we sawed the part how duffy was dreaming in his room He was dreaming about space .Next Word Chart wizzed around space.After that Word chart stole duffys words of
his brain with a plunger.Finally they got  duffys words back
into his brain.In the end I felt cool.

Our book about hands


At Glenbrae School we have revisited our School Treaty and as part of this exercise all classes are working on 'a book about hands'. We are looking at positive ways in which hands can be used. We are all aspiring to make our school a 'safe and happy learning community. Please take the time to check out my story.



Hands can cook cake
Hands can cut trees.
Hands can do sewing.
Hands can do sign Language.
Hands can help someone.
Hands can save the world.

I did this because it will help me learn more  about hands and develop my ideas for writing.

Orientation: who, what, where?IT WAS IN THE HAll.In the hall was e waste stuff,power
bike ,Geckos and vines,Magnified Insect and travel log.     


Events: what happened?


First.....We went to the hall and we meet Ms.Kelly & Ms.kate then we talked about environment and how to keep the world clean and safe.




Then.....We were put into groups of six.My group really ejoy serach on google and looking at my house and srteet.





Next.....We went on the travel log we took turns it was cool I was first and then  Timote,
Dean.





Finally.....We finished our Activity then went to the hall .




Conclusion: I thought that........I  would make a pledge to turn of the light when ever I
go out of the room.

My holiday Reount


On the holidays I went to my rugby training. It's always on Tuesday and Thursday .After that we versed varsity. It was an exciting game. We lost on saturday it was raining and
we were cold. I was As cold as a penguin at the North Pole. After the game we ate juicy hot-dogs with mustard and ketchup. I washed it all down with a cold can of 7up it was

yum. After that it was the big people's rugby challenge to begin and we had to go home. I cuddled up in my blanket and it was warm when I got home. I could hear the thunder and lightning outside. It was as loud as fireworks.
Then we ate fish and chips The end.

Swimming Lesson

LI: To use adjectives
Sc: I have used adjectives to describe.

On Thursday I went swimming with my friendly  class. First we put on smooth creamy sun screen. We used flutter boards, they were wet and slippery. I liked the cool water. Our three caring instructors put us into groups. We
learnt free style and back stroke. Then they
call us in to numbers.  I  was in  group 2. Next we hopped in to the cool blue pool in our groups.  We did backstroke, front stroke after 25 minutes we got out.

swimming lesson

Today is room 7 Swimming Lesson with the Instructors. When we were getting ready to get
in the pool we put on sunblock then the Instructors said 6 people only I was one of them
I was 5th in the pool it was cold. I went to a Instructor she gave me a board I kicked my hards
and swam with  my board it was shallow on the ground. When I was swimming the wave bushed me like a strong wind then it was time to finish.
